About the artist

Born in Poland, raised in the UK, settled in Germany – I’m always swinging between between East and West, traditional and modern, progressive and historical. Between the responsibilities of motherhood, the drive to keep learning and the demands of chronic illness I find the fuel for my artistic practice, seeking that itchy spot between historicism, exploration of bodily boundaries, emotional directness and the rejection of the performativity of our increasingly algorithmic world. I reject trends as superficial and distracting, choosing instead to focus on the timeless and complex.
